Michael Floyd Works Out With Baltimore Ravens

NFL: Los Angeles Rams at Minnesota Vikings Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

Minnesota Viking Michael Floyd is testing the free agency waters and has tried out with the Baltimore Ravens, according to NBC Sports Charean Williams.

Floyd started with the Arizona Cardinals, then moved to the New England Patriots but was cut. The Vikings signed Floyd last season but his numbers and playing time were dismal. He played 11 games, had 10 catches, 78 yards and no touchdowns.

That’s a far cry from his days with the Arizona Cardinals, where Floyd played in 89 games, had 256 receptions for 3,859 yards and 24 touchdowns.

The Ravens are in need of some type of depth as this position. They have signed Michael Crabtree and John Brown. Possibly signing Floyd can add the depth the need and possibly get Floyd back to the numbers he had while he was in Arizona.

Floyd has expressed his interest in staying with the Vikings this season, but it looks like the Vikings are ready to move on.
