Merry Monday, everyone!
I hope you all had an enjoyable and relaxing weekend. Mine was enjoyable, probably not relaxing, but enjoyable. Hey, it appears that all the “experts” in the sports media were likely wrong about Cousins coming to Minnesota. I’m.......not shocked. I’d like to know what their plan is, but I’m confident that we will not know that until they make a move, this front office doesn’t tip their hand often, if ever. I’m fine with that, but I still hope they’re re-signing a 100% healthy Teddy to a nice, long, team-friendly and Teddy-friendly deal.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
Wludford looks closely at Kirk Cousins, and sees more cons than pros.
Remember Greg Childs? The Vikes drafted he and Jarius Wright out of Arkansas the same year, and the Childs suffered a horrible injury in training camp, one that pretty much kept him out of the NFL........until now, possibly. The wide receiver is attempting a comeback in spring league, per Chris.
Chris shared the Adam Schefter story that several teams have expressed interest in Teddy Bridgewater.
ESPN thinks the Vikings will miss out on Kirk Cousins, per Chris. I guess that also means that the Vikes will miss out on the bloated contract he’ll likely get.
For those of you who can’t get enough mock drafts, Chris has v1.0 of the 2018 Minnesota Vikings mock draft database.
Vikings news from other sources and news from around the league:
Hey, here’s some news to be happy about! From ESPN, the Vikings say Dalvin Cook is on track to be ‘good as new or better’, and could be ready for OTAs. When they say, ‘good as new’, I sure hope they mean he’ll be where he was prior to the injury, and not as he was as a newborn, because technically.........
Charlie Walters at the Pioneer Press says that Keenum would be the Vikings’ least-risky QB choice. How many years can you recall when team didn’t have a QB question, controversy, or glaring need at QB heading into the draft? 2015, I suppose. 2016, but then our QBOTF went down in training camp & hasn’t played a meaningful snap since. Before that, it’s been a long time. You can’t count 2009 or ‘10 because no one knew if Favre was playing or retired until well after the draft.
NFL.com has their take on the winners and losers of day three of the NFL combine.
I assume most of you have heard about this. From NFL.com, Shaquem Griffin ran a 4.38 40 at the combine, and he’s a linebacker. Yikes.
SBNation has a hub for all the news from the combine.
We come to today’s media selection.
Here’s one of the good ones from back in my younger days, I love me some 80s music. The good songs from the 80s were awesome, the bad ones were about as bad as you can get. Thankfully, this is a good one. Enjoy.
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, & try the tiger meat.
