One more day with no sign of a move at the QB position. What will we argue about when that’s decided?

NFL: Pro Bowl-NFC vs AFC Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

Happy happy Tuesday, everyone!

Well, we arrive at another day with no news at the QB position, other than rampant mass-speculation. I think we can safely assume that the team will have to do SOMETHING prior to the draft to address the QB1 position. I highly doubt the team will roll with Sloter as the presumed starter, and he’s our only QB right now. When you’re picking at 30, you aren’t likely to draft a day one starter, especially with all the QB-needy teams out there. Other than that, I have no clue what will happen, except that something will happen, and that I’ll cheer for whoever is playing for the good guys. As far as I know, Joe Webb, Josh Freeman, and Christian Ponder are still available. Favre isn’t that old, either, and looks to be in good shape.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

The NFL has officially set the salary cap for the 2018 season at $177.2 million, per Chris. Nice expense account, IMO.

For Rick, there is no sanctuary from the QB conversation, even in......a sanctuary.

Chris shared the Rotoworld coaching rankings that placed Mike Zimmer at number 8. Too low, in my opinion.

Vikings news from other sources and news from around the league:

From Vikings.com, the team officially opened the TCO Performance Center, Mike Mayock shares his thoughts on who stood out at the combine, and there are a lot of other combine-related videos to sift through in the media vault.

NFL.com reported that the Seahawks plan to trade Michael Bennett and keep Earl Thomas. They tell people what they’re going to do? Being a fan of that team would be boring, what do they argue about?

The Eagles are reportedly seeking at least a first round pick for Nick Foles, per NFL.com. Hey, there’s room for another QB in the future Vikings QB speculation pool. Besides, we did fine last year without a first round pick, right?

We come to today’s media selection.

Here’s a good one from the 70s, another great era of music. This is from Three Dog Night, and is featured on Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, an all-time classic film, which is often referenced here on the-open thread. Enjoy!

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, & try the tiger meat.
