It’s officially draft month, folks, and the Minnesota Vikings have announced the particulars for their annual draft party.
The event will take place at U.S. Bank Stadium on the first night of the 2018 NFL Draft, which is on Thursday, 26 April, with the doors opening at 6:00 PM that evening (the first round of the draft gets underway at 7:00 PM Central).
There are two different levels of tickets that can be purchased for the festivities. The first is a General Admission ticket that costs $20 ($15 for season ticket holders). There are also tickets for what’s being called the Sleep Number Red Zone. Those tickets are significantly more expensive ($125 each), but they do include two free Miller Lite products, complimentary Pepsi products, and tailgate food. These tickets are also, apparently, front and center by the stage that will be up at U.S. Bank Stadium for the party. It also includes an autograph session in the Vikings’ locker room and some sort of gift.
If you want to purchase either level of ticket, hit the links above that will take you to the Vikings’ web site so you can do that.
In addition to that, the team is also going to be having a “Garage Sale.” (I guess since Bud Grant has said he’s not having another one, the team has to pick up the slack.) According to the website:
As part of the move to the TCO Performance Center, the Minnesota Vikings Foundation is setting up a Vikings Garage Sale during the Miller Lite Vikings Draft Party. This once-in-a-lifetime sale, will take place on the concourse of U.S. Bank Stadium and will include over 40 years’ worth of Vikings memorabilia, apparel and unique artifacts. All proceeds will benefit the Minnesota Vikings Foundation and their mission to advance the well-being of youth through engaging health and education initiatives.
Those that purchase the aforementioned “Sleep Number Red Zone” tickets will be able to start browsing the garage sale at 5:00 PM Central, an hour before everyone else with tickets. Also, in order to have access to the sale, you have to be a Vikings Rewards member, which you can learn more about here.
Are any of you folks planning to attend this year’s Vikings’ Draft Party at U.S. Bank Stadium?
