It’s Hump Day!

NFL: NFC Divisional Playoff-New Orleans Saints at Minnesota Vikings Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Good Morning!

Gone Fishin is still traveling so the daily thread continues with yours truly. If you enjoyed the poll yesterday I’ll start sprinkling them in on the daily threads that I post. We’re halfway through the week and sliding into the weekend and I’m ready for the draft.

Around the DN since our last daily thread:

Chris posted pick number 22 of the Daily Norseman Mock Draft, Buffalo you’re on the clock.

You like mock drafts, me too! Ted posted Mock 5.0 a good day to Mock Hard.

I missed this Monday night, Chris brings us the news that guard Nick Easton signed his restricted free agent tender, welcome back to the Vikings.

Vikings news from other sources and news around the league:

Over at Vikings.com they have Mock Madness 6.0 a compilation of expert picks in the first round with the consensus being an offensive lineman.

From their lunch break series, the Vikings are featured in plenty of marquee games this upcoming season.

They also go behind the scenes of LB Eric Kendricks contract signing.

At NFL.com they take a look at this year’s deep defensive line class.

We come to today’s media selection: A short story from Carl Spackler (Bill Murray) about the Dalai Lama

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up and tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, try the venison chili and as always, Welcome Aboard and Skol Vikings!
