Good Morning!
Only one more week until the annual NFL draft, personally I’m ready to find out who the Viking select right now, however we’ll have league news later today as the NFL schedule will be released tonight. I already looked at potential away games to go to this year and I just don’t see it happening. I have a second thread ready to go for Thursday or Friday if needed, bring on the schedule and bring on the Draft!
Around the DN since our last thread:
Podcast time with Arif and Norse Code Podcast Episode 230: Extensions in the Snow.
Chris posted pick number 23 of the Daily Norseman Mock Draft, New England you’re on the clock.
The big news from Chris, the NFL is set to release the NFL schedule tonight starting at 8pm Eastern, although there will probably be rumors and gouge flying all day. As I see Vikings related schedule rumors I’ll post in the comments.
Vikings news from other sources and news from around the league:
From Vikings.com Wobby sat down with Paul Allen to talk about the upcoming draft, off-season workouts and more.
Twenty years ago yesterday the Vikings drafted Randy Moss and changed the NFL landscape forever.
From their lunch break series the Vikings-Eagles Tops ‘Washington Post’s’ 2018 ‘Games to Watch.’
NFL.com reporter Ian Rapoport says LB Anthony Barr is likely the next player to get extended.
We come to today’s media selection: The Minneapolis Miracle, Sideline View (turn your speakers up)
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up and tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, try the venison chili and as always, Welcome Aboard and Skol Vikings!
