Merry Wednesday, everyone!

We’re half-way through another week of this fun-filled off-season, and we’re slowly approaching the 2018 NFL Draft. Before we know it, it’ll be July and we’ll be figuring out how to get out of work for a couple days to head over to training camp. I know I will be. Sorry if this is a bit brief, it’s late & I’m about out of gas for the day.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Chris posted pick number 9 by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2018 Daily Norseman Community Mock Draft.

From Ted, Kirk Cousins is getting acquainted with his receivers ahead of time.

David Carr likes Kirk Cousins’ fit in Minnesota, per Chris.

Vikings news from other sources and news from around the league:

The Strib looks at how much salary cap space is left after their free agency signings.

At, Lindsey Young let us know that the ‘Minneapolis Miracle Sideline Cam’ is up for a Webby Award, Jeremiah and Brooks project the first two rounds for all four NFC North teams, and there are lots of other videos to look through in the media vault.

The Rams, still not done blowing it up in this early portion of the NFL off-season, sent a first round pick to the Patriots in order to acquire Brandin Cooks.

With all the domestic violence issues, addiction, and other such issues surfacing far too often, the NFL has chosen to spend time investigating how the Tennessee Titans’ new uniform design was leaked, from the Sporting News. Gee, I sure hope they find who did that and lock them up forever.

We come to today’s media selection.

Man, I’m itching for some time off, let’s listen to a classic from Mr. Jimmy Buffett.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, & try the hog maws.
