I hope your weekend is going great whether you’re working, fishing (I read the MN fishing opener is this weekend) or doing absolutely nothing. I have a hate date with the weeds in my lawn this weekend along with some Netflix and stuff I DVR’ed but haven’t had a chance to watch. I still need to drive up and check stands and food plots in SC before the snakes get really active, what are your plans for this weekend?
Around the DN since our last thread:
Do you play Fantasy Football? I did last year and I’m terrible, however waiting too long to get your Vikings in fantasy football might be a mistake per Chris.
Also from Chris, NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein thinks another late-round Vikings’ pick could contribute immediately.
Podcast time from Saxyprince: Climbing the Pocket: Episode (2 [Vikings 10.5]
Vikings news from other sources and news around the league:
From Vikings.com Linval Joseph and Sheldon Richardson are building a bond and looking forward to playing next to each other.
From their lunch break series, the Vikings offense is included in the top 10 in the NFL.
At the film room, new Vikings CB Mike Hughes brings a physical presence and coverage skills to the position.
At 1500espn they have a 2018 Vikings what if draft team.
Consistent with the weekend thread, I’ll post stuff from the league in the comments section Saturday and Sunday.
We come to today’s media selection: Pearl Jam, the Youtube Mix
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up and tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, try the venison chili and as always, Welcome Aboard and Skol Vikings!
