It’s Monday night, which means it’s time for another installment of the NFL Network Top 100, and another member of the Minnesota Vikings has made his way onto the list.
And, quite frankly, he’s on there way too early.

Xavier Rhodes, who for my money and in my completely unbiased opinion is the best cornerback the National Football League has to offer, checks in at #55 on this year’s list. As you can see from the video above, that’s 11 spots higher than he rated on last year’s list, and it’s still too low.
Rhodes, one of the Vikings’ three first-round picks in the 2013 NFL Draft, got off to a rough start, but has developed into one of the best cornerbacks in the National Football League. He regularly shuts down the opposing team’s best wide receiver, and even though he does seem to have a series every game where he limps to the sideline and has to sit out, there isn’t anyone at his position that I’d trade him straight up for as things stand right now.
With Rhodes’ appearance on the list tonight, there have been four Vikings to make the list thus far. Rhodes joins Kirk Cousins, Linval Joseph, and Stefon Diggs on the list for this season, and there are going to be more Vikings to come. When they come up, we’ll tell you where they landed here.
