We trudge head-on into a Tuesday. Good luck.

Robert Smith #26...

Merry Tuesday, everyone!

We’re crawling through this NFL news dead period, thank God for spring weather, fishing, baseball, and fishing.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Two more Vikings were placed on the board of the NFL Network Top 100 as Xavier Rhodes hit the list at number 55, and Case Keenum actually came in ahead of Rhodes (snicker) at number 51.

Chris shared the excellent news that Dalvin Cook will participate in team OTAs this week, albeit on a limited basis. I can’t wait to see the kid back in action, I have high hopes.

Vikings news from other sources and news from around the rest of the league:

At Vikings.com, the Vikings and the Jaguars are meeting for joint practices this pre-season. I like it, a good defense to force the offense to step it up right out of the gate. Also, the Good Morning Football crew discusses whether the Vikings have the NFC North’s top offense. I’m not sure if they do or not, but it sure is nice to be able to have the conversation......... with a straight face. There are also some more videos for you to check out in their media vault.

Courtney Cronin at ESPN has a neat story on Mike Zimmer and his youth football camp.

The Strib has a list of what to watch for at Vikings OTAs this week.

ESPN looks at the new rule changes, and whether they’ll be enough to save kickoffs.

The Bills have released Richie Incognito from the reserved/retired list, per NFL.com. The guard is now eligible to sign with any team, if he wishes.

We come to today’s media selection:

I need a springtime song, and I don’t think to play Elvis nearly often enough, so here you go. Enjoy!

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags\
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, & try the chitlins. Would you like your tea sweetened or unsweetened?
