It’s finally Friday, the end of the work week and most likely the start of a three day weekend for most of us. OTA’s continue with a smattering of league news; have another cup of coffee and drop by for some fan wisdom and snark. If you have ideas for putting kids down for naps or smoker recipes stop on by. I’ll be around on and off today and all weekend. As far as the NFL’s anthem stance, go talk about it somewhere else, anything posted about it will get deleted, repeated posting will result in your inability to comment.
Around the DN since our last thread:
From Chris, Terrance Williams crashed his car and now he’s trying to blame Kendall Wright.
Wludford ponders the future of Anthony Barr, see what I did there?
Also from Chris for all of us armchair GM’s, about that possible signing of Richie Incognito and Brian Robison took a hefty pay cut to come back to the Vikings.
Vikings news from other sources and league news:
Harrison Smith on his seventh year of OTA’s: You’ve Never Seen It All.
GM Rick Spielman on early impressions of QB Kirk Cousins, other new players; Barr’s status and more.
Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph calls into the “Rich Eisen Show” and talks about OTAs, the team’s new QB Kirk Cousins and his relationship with Head Coach Mike Zimmer.
Worst-to-first chances: Watch out for Broncos and Texans.
We come to today’s media selection: Cheap Trick-Dream Police
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up and tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, try the venison chili and as always, Welcome Aboard and Skol Vikings!
