Weekend Open Thread: June 2nd and 3rd, 2018

Welcome Aboard!

NFL: Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

Good Morning!

I hope your weekend is going great whether you’re working, fishing, or doing absolutely nothing. Sometimes life intrudes on my fun of being able to post open threads which is what happened the last couple of days. Shoutout and thanks to Gone Fishin for stepping up and getting the threads posted while I was otherwise occupied. I have a 40mile bike ride and some other fun stuff planned for the weekend, what are you doing?

Around the DN since our last thread:

Wludford has moar OTA tidbits, and thankfully no injuries to report.

Vikings news from other sources and news around the league:

From Vikings.com and their lunch break series, Tom Pelissero visits with with a highly encouraged wide receiver group.

Letters to Bud, Chapter Four.

Kirk Cousins and the Vikings are using OTA’s to focus on situational football.

Kai Forbath and Daniel Carlson are embracing the kicking competition in OTA’s.

From GMFB: Are the Vikings the NFC team with the best chance to win thirteen plus games?

Consistent with the weekend thread, I’ll post stuff from the league in the comments section Saturday and Sunday.

We come to today’s media selection: AC/DC-Who Made Who

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up and tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, try the venison chili and as always, Welcome Aboard and Skol Vikings!
