There was some batting practice, and a few Vikings threw out first pitches

There was some crossover action among a couple of the Twin Cities’ sports teams on Friday night in Minneapolis, as members of the Minnesota Vikings invaded Target Field, home of the Minnesota Twins, for “Skol Night.”

Not gonna lie. . .that’s a pretty sweet hat. Going to have to look into getting my hands on one of those.

Five members of the Vikings made their way to Target Field on Friday. Kirk Cousins, Stefon Diggs, Everson Griffen, Harrison Smith, and Adam Thielen were there to represent the purple, and they got to do quite a bit.

All of the players took some batting practice before the game, as you can see in this video from KSTP. Griffen, from all accounts, was the best hitter of the group, as he even managed to deposit one pitch into the left field stands. As far as who the worst might have been, at least based on the video. . .well, let’s just say that hopefully Diggs is better at Family Feud than he is at hitting baseballs.

Cousins, Diggs, and Thielen then got the game started by throwing out the first pitch.

All in all, it sounds like a pretty good time was had by everyone at Target Field on Friday night, and the Twins managed to pull out a 7-4 victory over the Cleveland Indians, so the fans went home happy as well.
