The young RB is officially back, one old vet sees the finish line, while an even older vet.........dances?

Jeff George #3...

Merry Wednesday, y’all!

We say hello to another beautiful spring/summer day, and with the news of Dalvin Cook being back on the field, the day just got better. I’m rooting hard for the kid, he’s one of those who I love to see succeed. Even though the odds were against him, he avoided the pitfalls so many in that situation fall into, and achieved success few ever even dream of. I’m ready to see him, and the team, achieve even more.

We know that the Vikings have the best logo in the NFL. Who would you say has the worst/ugliest?

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Chris shared some really awesome news, Dalvin Cook is offically back on the field.

Luft Krigare sounds off with the inaugural episode of Good Morning Gjallarhorn.

Brian Robison said, once again, that this will ‘likely be his last season’. That’s the best way to do it, go out after a Super Bowl win, while you’re at the top.

Terence Newman scoffs at talk about retirement by such a young player, he’s out on the practice field dancing.......or something.

Vikings news from other sources and news from around the rest of the NFL:

Andrew Krammer at The Star-Star Tribune looks at how DB Coach Jerry Gray is trying to coax even more out of one of the league’s elite secondaries.

Coach Zimmer and the Vikings PR Staff have been nominated for PFWA Awards, per In the media vault, see Harrison Smith talk about the defense’s progression, also hear thoughts from Sheldon Richardson, see all of yesterday’s highlights, and there’s lots more to look through.

Rob Gronkowski finally showed up at OTAs, and didn’t waste any time getting to a microphone. He shared some thoughts on the head coach, while also hinting that he may want a new deal, per CBS Sports. I’m convinced that everything coming out of that camp is some kind of smoke screen or a subterfuge of some sort. I believe nothing coming out of there.

We come to today’s media selection:

There’s never a bad time for AC/DC, and you can’t play too much AC/DC, so here’s some AC/DC. My son loves these guys, I can’t imagine where he gets that.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer\\
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume anything you read is sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, & try the chitlins.
