In the past, we’ve seen stories about Minnesota Vikings wide receivers going to work out with stars from other teams. Now, it appears that the team’s best cornerback has decided to get into the act, too.
Former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, who the Vikings will see in Week 1 when they take on the San Francisco 49ers, posted the following video to his Instagram the other day:
As you can see, Xavier Rhodes’ Instagram handle is in the caption of the post, as are those of Detroit Lions’ cornerback Darius Slay, Los Angeles Rams’ cornerback Aqib Talib, and Sherman’s teammate with the Niners, Ahkello Witherspoon. Sherman is recovering from a pretty serious Achilles injury that cost him most of his final season in Seattle.
Rhodes obviously wants to prepare by working with the best, and guys like Sherman, Talib, and Slay are on the short list of the best corners in the NFL. Sure, Rhodes might already be the best corner in the NFL. . .depending on who you ask. . .but it’s good to see him trying to improve himself even more by getting together with some other elite corners.
