Prior to the first day of camp in Eagan getting underway, the Minnesota Vikings made a move to shore up the tight end position a little bit while waiving an offensive lineman.
The team brought back tight end Josiah Price, who spent last preseason with the Vikings after going undrafted out of Michigan State. Price was waived by the Vikings on Tuesday when they signed center J.P. Quinn, but now it appears that he’s back with the squad.
In order to make room for Price on the roster, the team waived offensive lineman Chris Gonzalez. Gonzalez was undrafted this past April out of San Jose State, and the Vikings signed him as part of the post-draft signing frenzy. You can read more about Gonzalez in the story that Lucas did about him yesterday.
(Things like that happen in the blogging business sometimes.)
We’ll have plenty more from Training Camp for you today and for the next couple of weeks. This is the first roster move the team has made for camp, and I’m guessing that it isn’t going to be the last.
