One of the first signs that Training Camp is really, truly underway is when a team has their first fight of the session. Generally, it takes a few days for players to get tired of hitting the guys they share a locker room with, but apparently the Minnesota Vikings have chosen to get it out of the way early.

After one play in the afternoon session, rookie linebacker Devante Downs and offensive tackle Aviante Collins decided that they didn’t want to play nice anymore and got into a bit of a scuffle. Collins, reportedly, threw a couple of “haymakers,” because when you get into a fight with someone that’s wearing a helmet, punching them in the head should be your first move, I guess.
As you can see from the video above, the fight didn’t last long and was broken up by several members of the team. It didn’t sound like anything major came of it, which is always nice.
We’ve had our first fight of Minnesota Vikings Training Camp, ladies and gentlemen, which means the offseason is officially over and preparations for the 2018 regular season have officially begun.
