The Packers will be without the man that might be their best running back

In addition to the Reuben Foster suspension that we talked about earlier, another suspension was announced by the National Football League earlier today that will affect a Minnesota Vikings opponent.

The folks from Acme Packing Company have informed us that running back Aaron Jones will be suspended for the first two games of the 2018 regular season for a violation of the league’s Substance Abuse Policy. That means that he will be sidelined for the Week 2 matchup between the Vikings and the Packers at Lambeau Field.

The suspension comes from an incident last October where Jones was pulled over for speeding and admitted to smoking marijuana.

Jones came on strong for the Packers towards the end of last season, as he averaged 20 touches per game over the second half of the season. He is expected to be the starter at running back for Green Bay this season, but if that’s the case, he won’t be in that role for Green Bay’s first two games.
