Vikings heavy favorites to return to playoffs in 2018

The odds are out, and they look favorable for the purple

We’ve been hearing throughout the offseason how talented the Minnesota Vikings are, and the consensus seems to be that the 2018 season will include a third playoff appearance in the past four years. Despite having a much tougher schedule than they did in 2017 (at least on the surface), the people that would like you to gamble your money on sports-related things believe that the Vikings will be playing well into January.

Our friends at OddsShark have released their initial playoff odds for the 2018 NFL season, and the Vikings are very heavily favored to make the playoffs again this season.

The Vikings are currently being given a money line of -260 to make the playoffs this season. This means that they’re favored to reach the playoffs, and that you would have to place a bet of $260 on them to make a $100 profit on a successful wager.

The only two teams in the NFL that are more significant favorites to make the postseason are both in the AFC. The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently sitting at -550, while the New England Patriots are sitting at an absolutely ridiculous -1500.

Obviously, we can’t officially pencil the Vikings into the postseason quite yet, but I think we all sort of expect them to be there and the initial odds seem to back those expectations up.
