Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve made it.
Well, we haven’t made it made it, but we’re just a little bit closer, and that’s all that matters.
Yes, we are less than twenty-four hours away from seeing the Minnesota Vikings take to an NFL football field for the first time since January of this year. Yes, it’s only preseason, but given that pretty much every other team in the league will have played a preseason game prior to this one (with the exception of the Los Angeles Chargers and the Arizona Cardinals, who will kick off an hour after this one starts), I’m ready to see the most important team in the league get on the field.
The Vikings will be in the Mile High City to take on the Denver Broncos in the Case Keenum Revenge Game! Or the Trevor Siemian Revenge Game! Or the Kyle Sloter Revenge Game! Or the Tramaine Brock Revenge Game!
(Yeah, I just wanted to see if you were paying attention with that last one.)
Anyway, here’s how you can keep up with all the action from Denver on Saturday night.

Radio Info
Whether you’re listening on the Vikings Radio Network or watching on television, you’ll be listening to the play-by-play for this one courtesy of the dulcet tones of Paul Allen and Pete Bercich, as the Vikings are going with a simulcast once again this preseason. You can click on the link above for a full listing of Vikings Radio Network affiliates throughout the midwest.
If you have satellite radio, you can hear the Vikings Radio Network feed on Sirius Channel 134 or XM Channel 225. If you’re using the SiriusXM Online service or their phone app, the Vikings’ permanent home there is on Channel 819.
Referee Info
Per the good folks at Football Zebras, the officiating crew for this Saturday’s preseason opener will be led by the worst official in the National Football League, bar none, Pete Morelli. I’d say that it would be a good thing to get him out of our road early, but this just means that the likelihood that he’ll be officiating an important Vikings game late in the season with a golden opportunity to screw this team over is more likely now than it would have been. Damn it.
Weather Info
According to the folks from WeatherNation, she’s gonna be a warm one tomorrow in Denver. The high temperature for the day will get to the mid-90s, but should “cool down” to about 85 degrees by kickoff time, with winds out of the southeast at 5-10 miles an hour. With the humidity sitting at about 20%, though, it’ll be that “dry heat” that’s supposed to be so much better even though it really isn’t. It’s still going to be stupid hot.
Streaming Info
There are a couple of different options for streaming the game online via subscription, notably NFL Game Pass and Fubo.tv. It’s “free trial” season for Game Pass, so do with that information what you will.
As far as other streams are concerned, do NOT. . .and I mean not in any way, shape, or form. . .promote illegal streaming sites on The Daily Norseman. Not in the comments, not in the FanPosts, not in the FanShots, not in the Game Thread, not anywhere. Don’t even hint at them. Trust me on this. If you’re that determined to watch the game via an illegal stream, do a Google search and find it on your own. And feel free to not blame us for any ill effects your computer or device might suffer as a result.
That should be all of the pertinent information you need in order to follow along with all of the action from Denver tomorrow night. We’ll have the Game Thread up and running about an hour or so before kickoff, so join us, won’t you?
