One of the big stories. . .insomuch as there can be a big story for a preseason game. . .for the Minnesota Vikings’ game against the Denver Broncos on Saturday night was the Vikings taking on quarterback Case Keenum. As we know, Keenum started for the Vikings for the majority of the 2017 season, and was part of the reason why the Vikings advanced to the NFC Championship Game.
While Keenum may have had a rough night on the field. . .he completed just one of the four passes he attempted on the evening. . .at least one of his former teammates was happy to see him after the game was over.

That’s Vikings cornerback Xavier Rhodes shaking hands with Keenum in the video above. Or rather, while Keenum is under the impression that they’re going to be shaking hands, Rhodes goes into full-blown Chris Farley “BROTHERS DON’T SHAKE HANDS! BROTHERS GOTTA HUG!” mode, picking Keenum up and carrying him around the field a bit.
It’s good to see that Keenum’s former teammates don’t harbor any hard feelings towards him or anything. With the Vikings deciding to focus on Kirk Cousins this offseason, Keenum did what was best for him and decided to move on to Denver. Nobody can really fault him for that. Rhodes apparently doesn’t.
Just a nice little moment from the first preseason game of the year.
