It’s already been four days since the Vikings had its first preseason game and it already feels like it has been two weeks. On the bright side, in another two weeks, I mean three days, Minnesota will face Jacksonville.
So far there has only been one transaction and that was putting Nick Easton on the injured reserve and adding some depth to the offensive line by signing Kaleb Johnson.
By no means will Johnson be a starter considering he has never played in a regular-season NFL game. He’s been in the league since 2015 and was recently waived by the Chicago Bears.
I think it’s a decent depth signing just in case someone else goes down. At this point you might as well try and grab whoever you can. It’s also a possibility that when others begin to get cut from other teams, then we’ll see other linemen come in and out of the organization.
The front office and coaching staff both know this will be a big year and they won’t let a shaky offensive line get in the way of a potential title run... At least one would hope, right?
As the week moves forward the hype is building to see Dalvin Cook hopefully get some action on Saturday. What’s even more exciting is seeing the two healthy workhorses in Latavius Murray and Cook and seeing what the two are capable of accomplishing this season.
After seeing the amazing pass between Kirk Cousins and Stefon Diggs last weekend sealed the deal in me being all in on this season. The chemistry that those two will have this season will be like peanut butter and jelly.
I can’t get over the giddiness I have for the season. Can it just be week one against San Francisco, yet?
