We have more roster moves from the Minnesota Vikings, and this one involves a linebacker that the team brought in after a strong tryout session back in May.
Brett Taylor, a linebacker from Western Illinois, was a part of the Vikings’ first wave of cuts on Friday afternoon.
Taylor was one of four players that the Vikings brought in after a May mini-camp tryout. He was an FCS All-American at Western Illinois in 2017, in addition to being the Missouri Valley Football Conference Defensive Player of the Year, but apparently did not show the coaches enough during training camp to make himself stick with the team. The Vikings are pretty deep at linebacker, and the odds were probably against Taylor from the start.
We’ve got a couple more moves from the Vikings to talk about today, and we’ll continue seeing them flow in as we get closer to Saturday’s 3:00 PM Central time roster deadline.
