Today, the man that is on the short list of the greatest wide receivers to ever lace up a pair of cleats will take his rightful place among the immortals of the sport’s history.
So will some other guys. . .but, I mean, we all know why you’re here, don’t we?
Yes, today is the day that Minnesota Vikings legend Randy Moss will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of their class of 2018. There ceremony is just getting underway from Canton, and you can see it on either ESPN or the NFL Network.
It’s likely going to be a while before Moss gets to the podium. Of the seven speakers that are set to be on stage this evening, Moss will be going sixth. The other inductees that will be going in this evening are as follows, in the order that they’ll be speaking in:
- Robert Brazile, Houston Oilers linebacker
- Bobby Beathard, Washington Redskins and San Diego Chargers General Manager
- Jerry Kramer, Green Bay Packers guard
- Brian Urlacher, Chicago Bears linebacker
- Brian Dawkins, Philadelphia Eagles safety
- Ray Lewis, Baltimore Ravens linebacker
Moss will be up after Dawkins and before Lewis closes things out. So, with the ceremony starting at 6:00 PM Central, I wouldn’t expect Moss to be up until around 7:30 or so. Then again, I’ve been proven to be relatively terrible at estimating these sorts of things, so you’re better off just watching the entire thing.
Feel free to talk about Moss and your memories of him with the Vikings, or anything else relating to tonight’s Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony right here. Enjoy the evening, ladies and gentlemen!
