NFL: Minnesota Vikings-Training Camp Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

Good Morning!

Links up here might be limited as I’m the quick fill-in guy. I also have to cram in 9 days of work in the next 4 days, so my time is sparse right now. While we’re waiting patiently for the pre-season to get started for real we’ll continue with our daily thread full of beer recommendations, nap strategies, crock pot and smoker recipes. Have another cup of coffee and drop by for some fan wisdom and snark. Preseason game is this Saturday in Denver, who’s excited for this start of a new Vikings season? Me!

Around the DN since our last thread:

Dan favors us with two articles, “Vikings’ NFC North Rivals: News and Notes from Camp” and “Randy Moss sends a message with his Hall of Fame necktie.” By the way, I do see the political remarks there, don’t bring it here.

From Chris, “Five high school football games to take place at new TCO Stadium,” “A couple of former Vikings have been spending time in Eagan learning the finer points of coaching” and in the second best beverage ever category “Caribou Coffee launches limited edition Skol Vikings Blend.”

Saxyprince shares his thoughts on the Vikings night practice in Eagan.

I probably missed some front page articles that I didn’t highlight over the weekend, there is a lot of football content on the front page, check it out.

Vikings news from other sources:

From WR Stefon Diggs on the night practice and steps the offense needs to take, highlights from Saturday’s night practice and QB Kirk Cousins reflects on the offense’s performance during the night practice.

The best of Randy Moss Hall of Fame speech.

There’s more there too, check it out.

We come to today’s media selection: AC/DC: Rock and Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up and tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, try the venison chili and as always, Welcome Aboard and Skol Vikings!
