Another move for the Minnesota Vikings, and this one comes as a mild surprise as well, at least to anyone that thought that the purple might be rostering a sixth wide receiver.
#Vikings are waiving WR Chad Beebe, source said. They want Don's son back on the practice squad if he clears. Has had a solid preseason.

According to Close, Personal Friend of the Daily Norseman Tom Pelissero™, the Vikings will be releasing wide receiver Chad Beebe, though they do want him back on the practice squad if Bill Belichick doesn’t claim him on waivers.
(Come on, you know you were all thinking it, too.)
Beebe, the son of former Buffalo Bills receiver Don Beebe, had a pretty impressive preseason, particularly in the third game against the Seattle Seahawks where he caught a 25-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Sloter in the final moments to put the Vikings in a position to win the game. I do hope that he clears waivers and finds his way back to Minnesota.
We’re three hours away from the deadline, ladies and gentlemen, so the moves will be coming in fast and furious from here. Keep your browser pointed at The Daily Norseman and watch the roster take shape!
