Vikings Roster Cuts: Minnesota Vikings release Colby Gossett

One of the Vikings’ 2018 draft picks is out

Another cut for the Minnesota Vikings along the offensive line, and this time it’s a player that they used a 2018 draft selection on.

Per numerous sources, the Vikings will be releasing offensive lineman Colby Gossett as a part of their quest to get down to 53 players.

Gossett was a sixth-round pick of the Vikings in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Appalachian State University. He was viewed as a bit of a project, and it sounds like the Vikings would like to bring him back to the practice squad.

Gossett becomes the second member of the Vikings 2018 draft class to not make the 53-man roster, but the first to be released. Defensive end Ade Aruna was injured during the preseason and placed on injured reserve.

We will have more Minnesota Vikings roster cuts coming your way in the next couple of hours as we approach the deadline. Keep it right here to watch the roster take shape!
