In getting closer to the 53-man roster deadline, the Minnesota Vikings have released the man that might have had the coolest name on the roster.
The Vikings will be parting ways with offensive tackle Storm Norton as part of their final cutdowns.
Norton initially signed with the Detroit Lions after going undrafted out of Toledo in 2017. He spent some time on the Lions’ practice squad, as well as the practice squad of the Arizona Cardinals before signing with Minnesota in December. The Vikings released him in January, but signed him to a futures contract after their season had concluded.
No word yet at this point about whether or not Norton is a candidate to come back to the practice squad.
Even though the deadline for roster moves has passed, we’re still waiting for word of the last few transactions to hit the wire from Eagan. Thank you to everyone that’s gotten their cutdown day news right here at The Daily Norseman!
