A short while ago, Fox insider Jay Glazer reported on their NFL pregame show that Aaron Rodgers has a deep bone bruise and a sprained MCL, and will wear a knee brace against the Minnesota Vikings for today’s game.
If fans remember, that’s similar to the injury former Vikings QB Sam Bradford suffered in Minnesota’s opening week victory against the New Orleans Saints last year, and it affected Bradford all season long. After missing two games, Bradford tried to return against the Chicago Bears on a Monday Night game, had almost zero mobility, and was replaced by Case Keenum at halftime.
Bradford went on IR, and wasn’t activated again until the playoffs. While no two injuries are the same, Glazer said that Rodgers and the Packers will have to take his status ‘hit by hit’ today and moving forward.
