It’s time to move on to Week 3 of the 2018 NFL regular season, and the Minnesota Vikings will make their return to U.S. Bank Stadium for their first inter-conference matchup of the season, as they play host to the Buffalo Bills.
We all know what happened to the Vikings last week at Lambeau Field. They spent most of the game not doing a whole lot offensively, and then exploded for 22 points in the fourth quarter to wrangle themselves into a tie with the Green Bay Packers. They had a couple of opportunities to win, but Daniel Carlson couldn’t connect on two different field goal attempts, so the Vikings left Wisconsin with a 29-29 tie.
Things for the Bills. . .well, they’ve been a little rough. They got trounced in their season opener by the Baltimore Ravens to the tune of 47-3 in Baltimore, and lost their home opener this past Sunday to the Los Angeles Chargers by a final score of 31-20. The Bills initially started Nathan Peterman at quarterback, but he was so awful in the first half against Baltimore that the team was forced to turn to Josh Allen, who the Bills selected with the seventh overall pick in the most recent NFL Draft. Allen did okay for himself against the Chargers, but this will be his first ever NFL road start, and the Vikings’ defense will be looking to make things as miserable as possible for him.
The Vikings are huge. . .and I mean huge. . .favorites going into this one, but in the National Football League that doesn’t mean much these days.
We’ll have all of our stories about the matchup between the Bills and the Vikings right here for your reading pleasure, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the coverage of this week’s game!
