A short while ago the Minnesota Vikings released their final injury report.
OUT:
Aviante Collins, T (elbow)
Pat Elflein, C (ankle/shoulder)
Roc Thomas, RB (ankle)
DOUBTFUL/OUT:
Mackensie Alexander, CB (ankle)
QUESTIONABLE:
Xavier Rhodes, CB (hamstring). He was a full participant during Friday’s practice.
EXPECTED TO PLAY:
Riley Reiff, T (foot)
Stacy Coley, WR, (groin)
Marcus Sherels, CB/PR (hamstring)
With Elflein ruled out, that almost assuredly means Brett Jones starts at center, and Tom Compton at left guard. With Collins not playing either, I would imagine Brian O’Neill will be the primary backup at both tackle positions, with Danny Isidora the main backup on the interior line.
Alexander not playing means rookie Mike Hughes gets the nod as the primary nickel and Holton Hill, maybe, as the dime back. Could be Sherels, though, since he’s expected to play, so we’ll see.
