Week 7 - Which College Players Are Future Vikings 2019

Auburn v Mississippi State Photo by Jonathan Bachman/Getty Images

Week 7 is here and the college season is starting to take shape. The cream is starting to rise to the top.Ohio State probably deserves to be #1 based on strength of schedule*. They should at least be #2. Oklahoma is a team that has looked good too. They have a real test this week vs Texas. LSU is ranked #6 and Florida is ranked #7 and they play each other this well. This will be the game that shows which one is ready for prime time. Auburn has had the toughest schedule and are ranked #12. Yes, it is really started to crank up.

I am going to list a lot of games where there are possible future Vikings.

As usual, I will provide a mock that will get the most attention. I like to mix them up so be prepared for anything. The consensus is still that the Vikings need to get a possible QBOTF. Cousins has not shown enough for many Vikings fans to make them believe he deserves an extension. In fact, many are praying they can trade him and he accepts. I will save those ideas for my off season plans.

One idea that would warm many hearts is that the Vikings re-sign Teddy in the off season as soon as free agency begins. Then, they inform Cousins he is going to be on the pine. At that point they should tell Cousins they can try to trade him but he has to accept. So he has two choices. Ride the pine or accept a trade to start somewhere. Not impossible at all.

But I fear this current regime is not clever enough to pull something like this off. I truly believe they actually will extend Cousins and probably do it this off season to free up cap space. I can come up with ideas but not now.

In this mock I have to assume Cousins is staying.
