We’re through one quarter of action at U.S. Bank Stadium, and the Minnesota Vikings have scored on both of their possessions to give themselves a 10-0 lead over the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Vikings got the football first in this one, and put together an outstanding opening drive. Kirk Cousins converted an outstanding third-and-long with a 20-yard pass to a diving Adam Thielen, and the team had themselves facing a 1st-and-goal from the Philadelphia 5-yard line. After Dalvin Cook was tackled for a loss on first down, Cousins and Thielen connected again on a beautiful 6-yard touchdown pass to give the good guys an early lead.

The Vikings’ defense then forced a three-and-out, and moved the ball down the field once again. The Eagles appeared to have the Vikings stopped on a third down, but Rasul Douglas was flagged for holding on a third-down stop to keep the drive alive. Cousins just barely missed Thielen on the next third down, but Dan Bailey came in and connected on a 39-yard field goal attempt to extend the lead to 10-0.
As we move to the second quarter of play, the Eagles are looking at a 1st-and-10 from their own 48-yard line.
We’re through fifteen minutes of action, and the Vikings lead the Eagles by a score of 10-0. Come on in and join us for the second quarter of play!
