We are ninety minutes from kickoff at U.S. Bank Stadium between the Philadelphia Eagles and your Minnesota Vikings. Both teams have released their inactive lists for today’s game, so let’s take a look and see who will be sitting this one out.
We’ll start, as always, with the visiting team.
Philadelphia Eagles
- CB Ronald Darby
- G Nate Herbig
- WR DeSean Jackson
- DT Timmy Jernigan
- CB Avonte Maddox
- DE Shareef Miller
- RB Darren Sproles
The Eagles had declared five players as “out” on their final injury report on Friday, so there wasn’t a whole lot of room for surprises here.
And now, on to the home team.
Minnesota Vikings
- LB Kentrell Brothers
- LB Ben Gedeon
- DT Jalyn Holmes
- G Josh Kline
- G Dru Samia
- OT Olisaemeka Udoh
- DT Armon Watts
No big surprises for the Vikings from their inactives, either. Hercules Mata’afa is back up after being a healthy scratch for two games, while Jalyn Holmes is back down. No huge surprises outside of that.
In a transaction that I missed yesterday, being down two linebackers the Vikings brought fifth-round pick Cameron Smith up from the practice squad on Saturday, waving wide receiver Davion Davis to make room. Smith is active for today’s game, so he will be making his NFL debut on Sunday.
Those are your inactive lists for today’s game, folks! We’ll have our first Open Thread of the afternoon up and running at around 11:00 AM Central time.
