On Sunday at MetLife Stadium, a pair of 2-2 teams that probably couldn’t feel more differently about their current status will get together when the Minnesota Vikings travel east to take on the New York Giants.
We know what happened to the Vikings last week, as they put together a disastrous performance in their 16-6 loss to the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field, their second defeat inside the NFC North in their first four games.
The Giants, on the other hand, have plenty of optimism. They made the big switch in Week 3, benching long-time stalwart quarterback Eli Manning in favor of rookie Daniel Jones. Jones has come in and, dare I say, looked pretty good in leading the Giants to two consecutive victories.
This is the Vikings’ first trip to New York to play the Giants. . .they played the Jets there last season. . .since 2013. That was the infamous “Josh Freeman game” on Monday night football that went. . .well, it went rather poorly for our favorite team. The teams have met twice in Minnesota since then, with the Vikings winning both matchups.
Kickoff in this one is slated for Sunday at noon Central time, and the game will be aired on FOX. We’ll have all of your coverage of this week’s game right here.
