The first injury report of the week is out for the Minnesota Vikings, and there’s one specific inclusion on the list that, if history has taught me anything, will have Vikings fans (particularly on social media) reacting with nothing but well-reasoned speculation.
Here’s the entire injury report for Wednesday. See if you can figure out which player I’m referring to, specifically.
Did Not Practice
- WR Stefon Diggs (non-injury)
- S Anthony Harris (quad)
- CB Mackensie Alexander (elbow/groin)
- C Garrett Bradbury (shoulder)
- LB Kentrell Brothers (wrist/hamstring)
- G Josh Kline (concussion)
- S Jayron Kearse (back)
- CB Xavier Rhodes (knee)
Yeah, so. . .Stefon Diggs isn’t hurt, but he didn’t practice today. Why? Like Mike Zimmer isn’t going to tell anyone why.
There have been some rumblings that Diggs has not been terribly pleased with the way the offense has been working thus far. Not surprising, considering that there isn’t anybody that should be terribly pleased with the way the offense has been working thus far.
If anything else comes out about Diggs not being at practice, we’ll pass it along.
In other injury news, Mackensie Alexander now has a groin issue to go with his elbow injury, Garrett Bradbury injured his shoulder, and Josh Kline is still working his way through the concussion protocol after missing the Week 4 loss.
But it’s fine, it’s fine.
Shut up, everything’s fine.
So, there are obviously some things to track here, and we’ll be doing so throughout the week.
