This Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings will venture outside of the NFC for the second time this season, as they make their way to Arrowhead Stadium to face the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Vikings come into this one winners of four consecutive games, and fresh off of quarterback Kirk Cousins being named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for the month of October. They have a record of 6-2, and would be a Wild Card team in the NFC if the playoffs started today.
The Chiefs have dropped three of their last four games, and so far this season are just 1-3 at Arrowhead, one of the toughest places to play in the NFL. They could also once again be without the services of the reigning NFL MVP, quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who is still dealing with a knee injury.
The Vikings are going to be attempting to break what has to be one of the longest droughts in team history, as the purple haven’t won in Kansas City since December of 1974. That’s 45 years without a victory in Kansas City, which is a pretty incredible number.
Kickoff for this one is scheduled for noon Central time on Sunday afternoon, and the game will be broadcast on FOX.
