After busting narratives and getting back on the winning track Sunday night in Dallas, the Minnesota Vikings will be back home at U.S. Bank Stadium Sunday afternoon to host the Denver Broncos.
The Vikings are now 7-3, still one game behind the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North standings. They are very much in the NFC playoff picture, currently enjoying a 1.5-game lead on the Eagles, Panthers, and Rams for the final Wild Card spot. The Broncos sit at the bottom of the AFC West standings at 3-6, but they have been playing better football as of late. Denver has won three of their last five contests after a difficult 0-4 start.
It appears as though the Vikings will be without the services of Adam Thielen and Linval Joseph once again. With the Vikings’ bye week approaching after this game, we assume that the team will err on the side of caution and keep the star players out on Sunday.
The game will kick off at 12:00 PM Central time. Kevin Harlan, Rich Gannon and Jay Feely will be calling the game for CBS. The crew has a couple local ties: Harlan called Minnesota Timberwolves games from 1989 to 1998 while Gannon was a Vikings quarterback from 1987 to 1992.
