In this episode:
Eric Eager and Nick Olson join Jayson Brown to discuss our win over the Cowboys, scripted plays, our epic screen game, and more.
This episode begins with our welcoming Nick back to show after his one week hiatus and our discussing the joys of being on the winning side of this close game, especially after the Kansas City loss. The picture of Flipmazzi below best personifies how we’re feeling.
No podcast this week y’all #worklife but I’m still beamin’ about that big win in Dallas! And we want it ALL now so let’s get it! RIDE this team with me #Skol pic.twitter.com/BpL1OJUpa3

Eric was happy to (humble) brag about his prediction of Dallas being “fraudulent” coming true while admitting that their baffling desire to force feed an ineffective Ezekiel Elliott certainly helped our cause.

Kirk not shriveling up under the spotlight is nice to see and Dalvin Cook is having a monster season.
Cowboys couldn't get Zeke going (shout-out to our sub IDL guys) and the pass game wasn't enough. pic.twitter.com/y8ULOIrFvd
We moved our discussion along to discuss the effectiveness of the Vikings scripted plays in which we exploited their coverage deficiencies at the linebacker position to get our Kyle Rudolph and Dalvin going in the passing game. Nick gave Stefanski and Kubiak some serious and deserved love for the epic Vikings screen game.

Watching Cook and the #Vikings run game have a standout year, I had also noticed their really well executed screen game.

I put together a cut-up of every efficient and/or explosive screen they've had so far in 2019 (in 4 video clips due to Twitter video length rules). (1/4) pic.twitter.com/WKItGXCueQ
more love for the Vikings screen game coming up...
A lot of people think to stop the @Vikings it’s a 2 way street-stop the run-stop the play action pass...but they have a 3rd dimension that is so impactful. The play action screen game. Hard on any linebacker crew to handle.. @espnnfl @courtneyrcronin @dailynorseman pic.twitter.com/2hK9oHC7hY

As always we talked Kirk Cousins and his career year. While Eric noted nothing in the Vikings fundamentals suggest a collapse in this season, we discussed the Rams as a cautionary tale by comparing Kirk Cousins and Jared Goff (spoiler: Kirk is better than Jared).

We rounded out the show with a discussion on whether “momentum” in football is real or an illusion.
He's right. Analytics cannot take into account things that do not exist https://t.co/t14NPsRyBj
