Because the Minnesota Vikings don’t play until Monday this week, they did not have to put out their first injury report of the week until today. However, with the Thanksgiving holiday, the team did not actually practice today, so they put out an estimated report instead.
So, had the Vikings practiced today, here what things would have looked like.
Did Not Participate
- LB Ben Gedeon (concussion)
Limited Participation
- RB Dalvin Cook (chest)
- DE Everson Griffen (knee)
- S Anthony Harris (groin)
- DT Linval Joseph (knee)
- S Harrison Smith (hamstring)
- DT Shamar Stephen (knee)
- WR Adam Thielen (hamstring)
Full Participation
- G Josh Kline (concussion)
The Vikings had lighter practices on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thielen took part in Tuesday’s practice but was held out on Wednesday, and the team estimated that he would have been limited had the team practiced today. Given that Thielen is now one of just four receivers on the 53-man roster, you would have to think the Vikings are still optimistic about his chances of suiting up on Monday in Seattle.
Joseph also did some work on Wednesday, which might mean he’s ahead of schedule. He missed the games against Dallas and Denver after having surgery on his meniscus in the week leading up to the Dallas game.
Harrison Smith injured his hamstring late in the victory over Denver. He participated in Wednesday’s practice as well, and his status for Monday still appears to be up in the air. We’ll get a better idea of where things stand on Friday and Saturday.
That’s your first injury report of the week for the Vikings. We’ll be monitoring everyone’s injury situation as the week continues.
