Three keys
1) Continue pounding the run game - The reason for this is two-fold. First of all, it keeps the Kansas City offense and all of their weapons, even without Patrick Mahomes, off of the field. Second, the Chiefs have been abysmal against the run this season. If the Vikings can get Dalvin Cook (and Alexander Mattison) going early on, this team could be in for another big game on the ground and could open things up for the passing game as well.
2) Discipline on defense - The Chiefs are a team that lives on big plays. With players like Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill at their disposal, Kansas City can put together big chunks of yardage in a hurry. The Vikings need to stay disciplined and get those guys to the ground quickly to keep those big plays from developing. Keeping the yellow flags off the field will help, too.
3) Keep beating the blitz - Kansas City loves to blitz on defense, but Kirk Cousins is currently the highest-rated quarterback in the NFL against the blitz this season. Again, this is something that should line up well for the Vikings, and if they can keep the blitz from getting home, we should continue seeing more big plays from Stefon Diggs and company through the air. It will help the screen game, too.

We’ll have things underway here shortly from Arrowhead. Remember that we’ll also have a brand new Open Thread at the start of each quarter, so keep your eyes open for that and move along accordingly.
With that, it’s time for football, ladies and gentlemen. Let’s hope that we can all meet back here to talk about how the Vikings picked up their fifth consecutive victory.
SKOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL VIKINGS!!!!
