Heading into their big Monday Night Football showdown with the Seattle Seahawks, the Minnesota Vikings have released their final injury report and. . .well, it doesn’t reveal a whole heck of a lot.
The injury report on the team’s official website has not denoted who participated in practice in what capacity on Saturday, but they have given players their injury designations.
Out
- LB Ben Gedeon (concussion)
Questionable
- S Anthony Harris (groin)
- DT Linval Joseph (knee)
- S Harrison Smith (hamstring)
- DT Shamar Stephen (knee)
- WR Adam Thielen (hamstring)
Three players that had been listed on the injury report throughout the course of the week were not given an injury designation. Those players are running back Dalvin Cook (chest), defensive end Everson Griffen (knee), and guard Josh Kline (concussion).
The Vikings still have five starters listed as “questionable” for Monday’s game, which means they’re a 50/50 proposition. The team still hasn’t made a move to promote a wide receiver at the present time, which you would think bodes well for Thielen’s status. Thielen has said that he won’t play unless his injured hamstring is 100%, but the longer the Vikings go without making a move to add another wide receiver, the better it looks for him.
Joseph has missed the past two games after having surgery on his meniscus. Having him back on Monday would put him ahead of schedule, but we’ll see what happens.
That’s your final injury report for the Vikings heading into their Week 13 contest at Seattle, folks. We’ll have more on this one as we get closer to kickoff.
