It’s Wednesday, and we’ve got our first injury report of the week for the Minnesota Vikings as they prepare for their Sunday Night Football clash with the Dallas Cowboys.
As expected, wide receiver Adam Thielen is once again out of practice. Thielen took himself out of Sunday’s loss against Kansas City after just seven snaps, but Mike Zimmer has been quick to emphasize that Thielen didn’t actually make his injury any worse. So he’s got that going for him. . .which is nice.
In addition to Thielen, two other Vikings sat out of Wednesday’s practice session. They are fullback C.J. Ham, who has a knee problem, and defensive lineman Ifeadi Odenigbo, who is dealing with a shoulder issue.
Here is the full injury report for the Vikings from Wednesday.
Did Not Practice
- FB C.J. Ham (knee)
- DL Ifeadi Odenigbo (shoulder)
- WR Adam Thielen (hamstring)
Limited Participation
- CB Trae Waynes (ankle)
- DE Stephen Weatherly (groin)
Full Participation
- DT Linval Joseph (knee)
- LB Eric Kendricks (hip)
- DT Shamar Stephen (knee)
We’ll continue monitoring the Vikings’ injury situation throughout the next couple of days, particularly what’s happening with Thielen. I’d be surprised if he played on Sunday, but I’ve been wrong on these sorts of things before.
