We’re a bit late in getting to our FanPulse for this week, but if you’ve been following the thoughts of Minnesota Vikings fans on this site throughout the season, what you’re about to see is not going to surprise you in any way, shape, or form.
For, you see, the Vikings lost their most recent game to the Kansas City Chiefs on a last-second field goal, 26-23. In Vikings FanPulse parlance, that means “we could just as well start tanking now and forget about the rest of the season.”
Yes, after Sunday’s loss, just two weeks after 78% of Vikings fans were confident in the direction of the team, that number has been cut in half to 39%. Because, obviously, the team has gotten so much worse over that period.
I don’t get it, but I’m not going to hammer it any more than this.
There were also three national questions in this week’s FanPulse, and the first one features our opponent for this week, the Dallas Cowboys.
When asked who the best team in the NFC East was, SB Nation readers picked the Cowboys. The Vikings have already beaten the other three NFC East teams this season and can complete a clean sweep on Sunday Night Football. But, of the four teams, given everything I’ve seen, the Cowboys would appear to be the obvious answer here.
The next one asks which of a group of contending teams. . .which the Vikings were not included on. . .is a “pretender.”
The Buffalo Bills won this one by a pretty significant margin, but I’m proud of all of you that voted for the Packers enough times to push them into second place.
Last, a bit of a different question, where we’re asked which NFL team needs a hug. The Vikings weren’t a part of this list, either.
Your winner in this poll was the New York Jets. I don’t know if Kirk Cousins or Anthony Barr voted in this poll, but I do know that they both realize the level of bullet they dodged by not going to play for Adam Gase.
That’s a look at your FanPulse poll for this week, folks!
