Dalvin Cook apparently injured

It happened early in the third quarter

NFL: Minnesota Vikings at Los Angeles Chargers Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

Early in the third quarter of their game against the Los Angeles Chargers, Dalvin Cook took a routine handoff, headed to the right edge, and was tackled for a minimal gain. After what appeared to be a routine play, Cook stayed on the ground and was in obvious pain.

After remaining on the turf for several minutes, he was helped off the field by the Vikings training staff, and it appeared he was really favoring his left shoulder. Up until the injury, Cook had a quiet game, rushing for only 27 yards on nine carries, and catching one pass for 16 yards.

Once on the Vikings sideline, he was quickly ruled out by the Vikings, and with Alexander Mattison already declared out on Friday, running back duties will be split between Ameer Abdullah and Mike Boone for the remainder of the game.

If we have any more information we will be sure to pass it along.
