As usual, I am going to do a mock but now am inclined to include a quick and dirty offseason plan which will inform the mock.

In my last mock I detailed a little more about key decisions. In this one I will be brief.

overthecap has the Vikings with -4.532 mil

Griffen’s deal will void because he has met the necessary goals and this frees up 13.1 mil.

Rhodes is not likely going to remain and this frees up 8.8 mil.

Reiff is getting older and they may feel they can replace him so this will free up 8.8 mil.

This takes the cap space to 25.467 mil.

Re-sign Waynes with a 3 year 25.5 mil deal with a first year cap hit of 5.5 mil.

Re-sign Alexander with a 4 year 24 mil deal with a first year cap hit of 4.0 mil

Re-sign Harris with a 3 year 18 mil deal with a first year cap hit of 5.0 mil

Re-sign Bailey with a 2 year 4 mil deal with a first year cap hit of 2.0 mil

Re-sign Colquitt with a 2 year 4 mil deal with a first year cap hit of 2.0 mil

Re-sign Ham with a 2 year 4 mil deal with a first year cap hit of 2.0 mil

Re-sign Wilson with a 1 year 820k mil deal

This leaves only about 4.267 mil in cap space which should be enough for the rookies.

They could restructure other contracts to create more space but this is enough for now.

Heading into the draft, the offensive line will need a left or right tackle depending on if they move O’Neill over.

Corner would be OK but you always need depth. Waynes, Hughes, Alexander, Hill, & Boyd is a decent 5.

Defensive end would need more depth.

Depth at WR and a backup QB are also needed.

I tried to go with as many different players than have been in my previous mocks. I tend to get attached to certain players and I think it limits my perspective.

Well, enjoy the games!
