The first quarter of the 2019 regular season finale is over with, and thanks to a couple of turnovers, your Minnesota Vikings trail the Chicago Bears by a score of 6-0.

Things got off to a nice start for the Vikings, as Mike Boone took a handoff from starting quarterback Sean Mannion and broke off a huge 59-yard run into Chicago territory. Unfortunately, on the second play, Boone put the ball on the ground with the Bears recovering for a turnover.

The Bears turned that fumble into the first points of the afternoon, with Eddy Pineiro connecting on a 26-yard field goal to make it 3-0 in favor of the visitors.

The Vikings turned it over on their next drive as well, as a short pass from Mannion hit Boone right in the hands. . .and he promptly bobbled it into the lap of Bears’ linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis for an interception that set the Bears up at the Minnesota 39-yard line.

Once again, however, the Bears had to settle for a field goal, this one a 33-yarder from Pineiro to make it 6-0. As we move to the second quarter, the Vikings are looking at 2nd-and-8 from their own 27-yard line.

One quarter in the books from Minneapolis, and the Vikings trail the Bears by a score of 6-0. Come join us for the second quarter of play!
