Obviously, getting Scherff would be tremendous and Armstead is looking better this year. Shelton is young and maybe Patterson can help him to elevate his play more. Vaitai could be the starter at left tackle but would be a very good swing backup. McCoy has always played well enough when he was not hurt. He has experience and that is needed.

OL would be ...

Halapoulivaati Vaitai, Prince Tega Wanogho, Aviante Collins

Pat Elflein, Hakeem Adeniji

Garrett Bradbury, John Keenoy

Brandon Scherff, Dru Samia

Brian O’Neill, Olisaemeka Udoh

DL would be ...

Danielle Hunter, Stacy Keely

Danny Shelton, Jaleel Johnson, Armon Watts

Shamar Stephen, Jalyn Holmes, Hercules Mata’afa

Arik Armstead, Ifeadi Odenigbo

An alternate plan ...
