We have hit the ninety minute point before the kickoff of this afternoon’s NFC North clash between the Detroit Lions and your Minnesota Vikings from U.S. Bank Stadium. Both teams have released their inactive lists for today’s game, so let’s take a look at who’s going to be sitting this one out.
As always, we start with the visiting team.
Detroit Lions
- G Oday Aboushi
- CB Jamal Agnew (ankle)
- G Beau Benzschawel
- DE Austin Bryant (hip)
- DL Da’Shawn Hand (ankle)
- CB Michael Jackson (hee hee)
- QB Matthew Stafford (back)
Stafford being out is obviously a big one, although the Vikings do seem to rack up a lot of sacks against him. Undrafted rookie David Blough will be making his second straight start at quarterback for Detroit, with OMG Kyle Sloter backing him up.
Hand was listed as out on the Lions’ last injury report, while Bryant was doubtful and Agnew was questionable. No huge surprises for Detroit.
And now, on to the home team.
Minnesota Vikings
- OT Aviante Collins
- DT Jalyn Holmes
- DT Hercules Mata’afa
- G Dru Samia
- LB Cameron Smith
- WR Adam Thielen (hamstring)
- OT Olisaemeka Udoh
Thielen misses his sixth game out of the last seventh, and the other one shouldn’t really count. Here’s hoping. . .again. . .that we see him back here soon. Riley Reiff, after dealing with a concussion for most of the week, is active after being listed as questionable on Friday’s final injury report and, presumably, will start.
And those are your inactives for today’s game, folks. The Open Thread for the first quarter of play will be up at approximately 11:00 AM Central time.
