Vikings cited in NFL.com’s Top Games of 2018

In a loss, unfortunately

In this offseason of lists, the Minnesota Vikings have appeared in another one. . .naturally, in a way their fans would probably wish they hadn’t.

The folks from NFL.com have put together their list of the 20 Best Games of the 2018 NFL season, and the Vikings’ Week 4 matchup against the NFC Champions, the Los Angeles Rams, came in at #17 on the list.

The Vikings, fresh off a pretty humiliating loss at home the week before, went out to the West Coast on a short week for the Thursday Night matchup. Both quarterbacks had big games that night, as they each threw for over 400 yards. However, when it was all said and done, Jared Goff got the better of things, as his 465 yards and five touchdown passes were enough to outpace Kirk Cousins’ 422 yards and three scores.

The Rams emerged victorious by a final score of 38-31, and even after all the offense, it took a big defensive play to end things, as Cousins was sacked for the fourth time on the night and stripped at around midfield, with the Rams recovering to seal the victory.

That’s the only time the Vikings appear on this year’s list, which isn’t a huge surprise. You can see the rest of the list by clicking on the video linked above. This year’s Super Bowl somehow managed to crack the top ten, so feel free to take the rest of the list with as many grains of salt as you feel necessary.
